Google Nexus 7

The Nexus 7 is a tablet computer designed and developed by Google in conjunction with Asus. It is the first tablet in the Google Nexus series, a line of consumer devices implementing the Android operating system and built by an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partner. The Nexus 7 features a 7-inch (180 mm) display, an Nvidia Tegra 3 quad-core chip, 1 GB of RAM, and 8, 16 or 32 GB of internal storage. Incorporating built-in Wi-Fi and near field communication (NFC) connectivity, it is marketed as an entertainment device with integration with Google Play, serving as a platform for multimedia consumption of e-books, television programs, films, games, and music. The tablet was the first device to ship with Android version 4.1, nicknamed "Jelly Bean".

Nexus 7 is built by ASUS and comes with a NVIDIA® Tegra® 3 quad-core processor so everything is faster – pages load quickly, gameplay is smooth and responsive, and running multiple apps is a breeze. Patented 4-PLUS-1™ design gives you processing power when you need it, and battery saving efficiency when you don’t.

Google Nexus 7

Nexus 7 was designed with gaming in mind. With heart pounding quad-core performance, a vibrant 1280-by-800 high-resolution display, and sensors like a gyroscope and accelerometer – do a barrel roll then tilt, touch and tap your way to the top of the leaderboards while exploring over 700,000 apps and games on Google Play.

With over 8 hours of HD video playback, 10 hours of web browsing or e-reading, and up to 300 hours of standby time, Nexus 7 can go the distance. Whether you measure battery life in chapters read, levels completed, movies watched or minutes of backseat silence, you can spend less time charging and more time doing.

Writing messages is easier than ever with Gesture Typing – glide your finger over the letters to compose emails or texts in a snap. The keyboard can anticipate and predict the next word, so you can power through your messages like never before.

Gesture typing works best for English. Quality varies for other languages, and some don't support it yet.

Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is a 10.1-inch tablet computer launched by Samsung Electronics. The tablet runs Android 4.0 and serves as a platform for multimedia consumption including movies, music, and web browsing. It is the second entry in the Samsung Galaxy Note range, which emphasises the use of a stylus, officially named S-Pen (S standing for Samsung), as an input device for tasks such as sketching and note-taking.

The 10.1in. screen delivers good viewing angles and is bright enough, but the resolution, at 1,280 by 800 pixels or 149 pixels per inch (ppi), is disappointing. Asus manages 1,920 by 1,200 (224ppi) on its Transformer Pad Infinity, while Apple delivers 2,048 by 1,536 pixels in a 9.7in. screen (264ppi) on the third-generation iPad. Samsung's flagship smartphone, the Galaxy S III, delivers a similar resolution — 1,280 by 720 pixels — in a much smaller 4.8in. screen, giving more than double pixel the density at 306ppi (but not as high as the iPhone 5's 326ppi — 640 by 1,136 pixels in a 4in. screen).

SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB 8.9 4G P7320T

The new Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 4G P7320T has a 8.9-inch PLS TFT capacitive touchscreen display. The tablet will run on the Android v3.2 OS and is powered by Dual-core 1 GHz Cortex-A9 processor. It sports a 3.15 MP rear camera a front 22 MP camera for video calling.

SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB 8.9 4G P7320T

As with any 4G device it's important to understand two things. First of all, 4G coverage is currently pretty limited. Telstra's 4G network is available in all eight capital cities (5km from GPO) and their respective airports in Australia, along with around 80 regional and metropolitan centres (3km from city centre). Unless you're using the Galaxy Tab 8.9 4G regularly in one of these coverage zones, the benefit of 4G connectivity will be minimal.
