NEW WHATSAPP UPDATE FEATURES

When it comes to a powerful, cross-platform messaging client you can’t go wrong with WhatsApp. If you’re one of the roughly 900 million active users you’ll have some new features thanks to the version 2.12.367 update, which should give you something new to play with while you slog your way through a Thanksgiving weekend filled with family activities.

You can now tap and hold on any message to “star” it, which will then move it to a separate section with other starred messages. Also, any links shared amongst users include rich previews, so you have a better idea of what it’s all about.

Additionally, if you’re on Android 6.0 Marshmallow you’ll find support for the Direct Share feature, which means you can send something directly to a WhatsApp contact from the sharing menu. It’s a much faster process than copying a link or navigating through the app to find the right conversation strand.
